An Alligator Swallowed an XBOX Series X

Xbox has unveiled a unique hardware variation known as the Xbox Series X-BITE. According to reporting from 9to5Toys, this specific version of the hardware features a standard Xbox Series X console stuffed inside a giant alligator that measures 5 feet in length. This particular item is described by Noisy Pixel as a one-of-a-kind console, and TheGamer confirms that Xbox is giving away this alligator-shaped Series X for free to a lucky winner. Various technology and gaming outlets have highlighted the oddity of the release.

Noisy Pixel focuses on the exclusivity of the Series X-BITE as a prize that users can win. 9to5Toys provides the specific physical dimensions of the alligator casing, noting it is 5 feet long. The announcement was formally shared via XBOX Wire, which used the phrasing that an alligator swallowed an Xbox Series X to describe the product's design. Coverage from Yahoo Tech provides additional context regarding the motivation behind this unconventional marketing move. According to Yahoo Tech, Xbox does not possess a marketing deal for Grand Theft Auto 6 similar to the one held by Sony.

The outlet suggests that the creation of a console designed to look like an alligator is a response to the absence of such a high-profile promotional agreement for the upcoming title. Future developments center on the distribution of the hardware. Because TheGamer and Noisy Pixel identify the Series X-BITE as a prize in a giveaway, the next phase of this event will involve the selection of the winner who will receive the one-of-a-kind alligator console. Current coverage does not specify the exact entry requirements or the deadline for the giveaway, but the official nature of the product has been confirmed by XBOX Wire.
