## Executive Summary
Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth are seeing significant price drops on the Switch 2 eShop, with some deals bringing costs below $8.

## Intelligence Brief
Gaming consumers are currently seeing steep discounts on the Switch 2 eShop for the Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth editions. One particular offer allows users to acquire both games for less than $7 each by following a specific process. These price drops represent a substantial decrease from standard digital storefront pricing for these high-profile titles on the newer hardware. Coverage of these discounts is being led by IGN, which has highlighted these offers in two separate reports. In one instance, the outlet describes a method to secure the games for under $7 each.

In another report detailing the top deals of the day, IGN lists the Switch 2 Final Fantasy VII games at an $8 price point. The coverage positions these software deals alongside other consumer electronics and collectibles, specifically mentioning hardware like the Meta Quest 3 and the Pokémon TCG Delta Reign set. To understand the significance of this trend, it is necessary to note that these games are the Switch 2 Editions of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth. The availability of these titles on the Switch 2 eShop indicates the expansion of the Final Fantasy VII project to this specific platform. Because these are major releases, price points falling to the $7 to $8 range are atypical for current-generation software, making the deals a point of interest for the gaming community and budget-conscious shoppers.

Future attention will likely focus on the duration of these specific eShop offers and whether other titles on the Switch 2 will see similar price reductions. Based on the coverage from IGN, the primary point of interest is the "one easy step" required to unlock the lowest price tier of less than $7. Users will be monitoring if these deals are limited-time promotions or part of a broader pricing shift for the Final Fantasy VII series on the Switch 2 platform.
