## Intelligence Brief
Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz has formally addressed and denied circulating reports linking him to the head coaching position at Florida State. According to coverage from ESPN and STLtoday.com, Drinkwitz has explicitly stated that he is not a candidate for the job. This denial comes amid a period of speculation regarding the future of Mike Norvell's leadership at Florida State, with Drinkwitz clarifying that he will not be replacing Norvell. The Missouri coach's comments serve as a direct response to recent rumors suggesting he was being considered for the role. The reports of this denial have been widely distributed across multiple sports media outlets.

CBS Sports notes that Drinkwitz shut down these rumors just as Missouri prepares for an upcoming showdown against Texas. Further coverage from 247Sports highlights that Drinkwitz's name has been appearing on various coaching lists recently, prompting the need for a public statement on his intentions. PennLive.com also reported on the SEC coach's decision to address the links to the Florida State position, emphasizing the public nature of the clarification. Observers will continue to monitor the situation surrounding Florida State's coaching status and the ongoing tenure of Mike Norvell. While Drinkwitz has stated he is not a candidate for the job, the coverage indicates that his name has been popping up on lists, suggesting continued interest from external sources or analysts. Future developments will likely center on the actual status of the Florida State position and whether other candidates emerge as the season progresses toward the Texas game and beyond.
