## Executive Summary
Russia launched a massive overnight strike involving 289 drones and 59 missiles, targeting hospitals and power plants across Ukraine.

## Intelligence Brief
According to reports from UNITED24 Media, the barrage consisted of 289 drones and 59 missiles. A primary target of this assault was a hospital in Kharkiv, where the strike resulted in 73 people being wounded. The attack was not limited to a single facility, as coverage from the Kyiv Post indicates that both hospitals and power plants were hit during the offensive. This massive wave of strikes aimed at critical civilian and energy infrastructure has caused significant casualties and damage across multiple regions. Multiple news outlets are tracking the specific locations of these strikes and the resulting human toll. Al Jazeera reports that at least 73 individuals were injured due to the bombing of the Ukrainian hospital and power plants.

Gwara Media provides further geographic detail, noting that Russia attacked Izium and Chuhuiv within the Kharkiv oblast this morning. Their reporting specifies that these particular attacks killed one person and injured at least 20 others. Additionally, Ukrinform reports on a drone attack targeting a settlement in the Kharkiv region, which resulted in five people being injured, contributing to the overall casualty count of the morning. This event follows a pattern of targeting essential services, as the Kyiv Post emphasizes the simultaneous hitting of power plants and healthcare facilities. The scale of the operation is underscored by the volume of weaponry deployed, specifically the 289 drones and 59 missiles mentioned by UNITED24 Media. The focus on Kharkiv oblast, including Izium and Chuhuiv, highlights the concentrated nature of the assault on this specific region.

The targeting of hospitals and energy infrastructure suggests a strategy aimed at disrupting both medical care and the power grid during the overnight period. Future developments depend on the assessment of damages and the recovery of the injured. Coverage from Ukrinform, Gwara Media, and the Kyiv Post indicates that the strikes occurred across several settlements and cities. Observers will be monitoring for further updates on the condition of the 73 wounded individuals and the one confirmed fatality in the Kharkiv region. Based on the reports, the status of the hit power plants remains a key point of interest, as the Kyiv Post noted these facilities were specifically targeted during the massive overnight barrage of missiles and drones.
