## Executive Summary
Spire Motorsports has suspended driver Carson Hocevar for the NASCAR Cup finale at Homestead/Miami following a controversial on-track incident.

## Intelligence Brief
Spire Motorsports has officially suspended driver Carson Hocevar, barring him from competing in the upcoming NASCAR Cup finale. According to reports from ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and The New York Times, the suspension specifically applies to the race held at Homestead, which is also referenced as Miami in coverage by Jayski. This disciplinary action follows an on-track incident involving Hocevar that has drawn significant attention across the racing community. The team's decision to bench the driver comes as a direct response to his conduct during recent competition. Coverage from Motorsport.com emphasizes the technical nature of the incident, noting that available data reveals the severity of a brake-check performed by Hocevar. The outlet states that based on this data, there is no denying the action occurred.

Further reporting from Yahoo Sports suggests that by benching Hocevar, Spire Motorsports is attempting to send a broader message to the entire NASCAR garage regarding driver behavior. The severity of the act has led to public criticism, including comments from Harvick, who described the move as one of the dirtiest of dirty tricks. This situation is particularly critical because it occurs during the NASCAR Cup finale, the culminating event of the racing season. The context provided by the reports suggests that the tension stems from the aggressive nature of the on-track maneuver. While the team has already implemented its own punishment through the suspension, the coverage highlights a broader climate of scrutiny regarding driver safety and sportsmanship. The incident has transitioned from a simple race conflict to a formal disciplinary matter handled by both the team and potentially the league.

Looking forward, the focus shifts toward whether NASCAR will implement additional sanctions. According to Motorsport.com, Harvick has indicated that NASCAR may choose to penalize Hocevar further for the maneuver. Observers will be monitoring the official league response to see if the team's suspension is mirrored by official NASCAR penalties. The immediate result remains that Hocevar will not be behind the wheel for the finale in Miami, leaving the team to navigate the season's end without him.
