## Intelligence Brief
Former NFL quarterback Russell Wilson has interviewed for the head coaching position at North Carolina State University. According to reports from ESPN and NBC Sports, the Super Bowl champion is being considered for the vacant role. The Seattle Times indicates that Wilson may be planning the next phase of his professional career through this move. This development comes as NC State seeks to fill its leadership vacancy on the football field, with the former Steelers quarterback emerging as a primary candidate for the position. Multiple media outlets are tracking the development, with Fox News and Yahoo Sports highlighting Wilson's status as a candidate in the mix. WRAL reports that the news was first detailed by ESPN, while the Raleigh News & Observer is explicitly adding Wilson's name to the list of potential hires for the Wolfpack.

Coverage from FOX Sports clarifies that the university is not only considering Wilson but is evaluating a total of two former NFL quarterbacks for the head coaching job. The consensus across these reports is that Wilson's professional experience is a focal point of the university's search. Context for this search includes the presence of other high-profile candidates. Yahoo Sports reports that there has been significant buzz surrounding Philip Rivers as a potential candidate for the vacant head coaching position. Future developments will depend on the final decision made by North Carolina State regarding its coaching vacancy. The coverage establishes that the university is weighing the options between former NFL quarterbacks, specifically mentioning the interests of Russell Wilson and the buzz surrounding Philip Rivers. Observers are watching to see which of these candidates, if either, will be officially named the head coach. The outcome will determine if Wilson transitions from his role as a former professional player to a collegiate head coach for the Wolfpack.
