## Intelligence Brief
A dangerous incident occurred during a pregame flyover for a Monday Night Football game at Lumen Field, where fireworks blasted around military aircraft. According to reports from MyNorthwest.com, the fireworks narrowly missed a military helicopter as it conducted its flight operations before the start of the game. The aircraft involved were US Army Black Hawks, which were operating in the vicinity of the stadium when the pyrotechnics were deployed. This near-miss event created a high-risk environment for the flight crews and the equipment involved in the scheduled sporting event ceremony. Coverage of the incident has been highlighted by several outlets, including the New York Post, which described the event as a scary incident.

Simple Flying emphasized the dramatic nature of the flyover, noting that the Black Hawk helicopter was nearly struck by the fireworks. Additionally, Task & Purpose and Yahoo reported on the official status of the personnel involved. These outlets focused on the safety outcome of the event, relaying that the crews were not injured during the encounter with the pyrotechnics. Context for this event centers on the coordination of military flyovers during high-profile NFL games. The presence of Army Black Hawks at Lumen Field was part of a planned pregame sequence, but the proximity of the fireworks to the flight path created an immediate safety hazard.

This incident underscores the risks associated with combining low-altitude military aviation with stadium pyrotechnics. Regarding the aftermath, US Army officials have confirmed that the Black Hawks and their crews remained unharmed following the near-miss. While the aircraft and crew are reported as being OK, the focus remains on the details of the flight path and the fireworks deployment. Future developments will depend on official reports concerning the coordination at Lumen Field. Coverage does not yet specify if there will be changes to flyover protocols or if investigations into the fireworks timing are underway, but the Army's confirmation of crew safety is the primary current update.
