## Executive Summary
BLACKPINK's Jisoo will contribute an original song to the upcoming ‘The Angry Birds Movie 3’, a sequel featuring a surprising crossover with Sonic the Hedgehog.

## Intelligence Brief
The entertainment industry is reacting to the latest developments regarding ‘The Angry Birds Movie 3’, a sequel to the action-adventure franchise that has previously earned $500 million. According to an exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter and further confirmation from Billboard, Jisoo will release an original song titled ‘Sun Showers’ for the film's soundtrack. Simultaneously, a new trailer for the Paramount animated sequel has been released, introducing a plotline where Jason Sudeikis takes on the themes of fatherhood while dealing with the green pigs. The trailer also teases the voice acting debut of Psalm West, adding another layer of casting interest to the production. Major coverage from outlets including Kotaku, IMDb, and Yahoo emphasizes a highly unexpected plot twist revealed in the trailer: the appearance of Sonic the Hedgehog.

IMDb specifically notes a scene where Sonic the Hedgehog races the character Chuck, a development that has led to reports from Yahoo stating that audiences are confused by the character's presence in this specific universe. MovieWeb has highlighted this as a return to the big screen for Sonic within the context of this hit franchise, while The Playlist focuses on the narrative shift involving Sudeikis and the overarching production by Paramount. Contextually, this project represents a significant crossover event between two major animated properties. The inclusion of a global star like Jisoo for the track ‘Sun Showers’ suggests a strategic effort to integrate K-pop influence into the film's marketing and auditory experience. The franchise's history as a $500 million success provides the financial backdrop for these ambitious casting and musical choices.

The pairing of established voice talent like Jason Sudeikis with newcomers such as Psalm West indicates a blend of experienced performance and high-profile debuts intended to draw a wide demographic of viewers. Moving forward, observers will be monitoring the full release of the ‘Sun Showers’ single by Jisoo as it relates to the movie's promotional cycle. Industry attention remains on how Paramount will explain the narrative integration of Sonic the Hedgehog into the Angry Birds world, given the initial confusion reported by Yahoo. Further details regarding Psalm West's specific role in the film are expected as more promotional materials are released. The interaction between Sonic and Chuck is likely to be a focal point of discussion as the film approaches its theatrical release date.
