## Executive Summary
The Cleveland Browns are preparing Shedeur Sanders as a potential starting quarterback after Deshaun Watson entered concussion protocol.

## Intelligence Brief
The Cleveland Browns are facing a significant roster challenge following a loss to the Steelers. According to coverage from Fox News, quarterback Deshaun Watson has officially entered concussion protocol. In response to this development, the Browns are eyeing Shedeur Sanders as a possible starting quarterback. The situation creates an immediate need for the organization to solidify its leadership at the quarterback position before their next scheduled appearance. Reporting on this development is divided between Fox News and Yahoo Sports.

Fox News emphasizes the transition of the starting quarterback role, specifically naming Shedeur Sanders as the candidate the Browns are considering. Meanwhile, Yahoo Sports focuses on the broader impact of the team's recent performance, describing the loss to the Steelers as a major blow to the franchise. Yahoo Sports is also investigating the timeline of Watson's medical status, specifically questioning why it took a significant amount of time for Deshaun Watson to enter the official concussion protocol. This situation matters now because of the timing of Watson's injury and the team's current standing after their defeat. The context provided by Yahoo Sports suggests a period of instability following the loss to the Steelers, making the health of the starting quarterback a critical factor for the team's momentum.

The move to prepare Shedeur Sanders indicates that the Browns are proactively managing the risk associated with Watson's concussion protocol, ensuring that a replacement is ready to step in if the medical staff does not clear the starter in time for Sunday. Observers will be watching for official updates regarding Deshaun Watson's progress through the concussion protocol to see if he can be cleared for play. Further attention will be on the team's final decision regarding the starting lineup for Sunday, specifically whether Shedeur Sanders will be formally named the starter. Coverage will likely continue to track the internal timeline at the Browns organization to determine why the protocol process for Watson was delayed, as highlighted by the reporting from Yahoo Sports.
