## Executive Summary
Pixar is undergoing a major leadership transition as Jonathan Garson takes over as President, with Jim Morris transitioning to a President Emeritus role.

## Intelligence Brief
Pixar has announced a significant shift in its executive leadership structure. Jonathan Garson has been named the new President of the animation studio. This appointment coincides with the transition of Jim Morris, a Pixar veteran, who is stepping back from his current duties. Rather than departing the organization entirely, Morris is moving into a newly defined position as President Emeritus. Multiple industry trade publications and financial news outlets have reported on the transition. The Hollywood Reporter and Variety both detailed the specific movement of Garson into the presidency and Morris into the emeritus role.

Deadline highlighted Morris's status as a company veteran in its coverage of the shift. Additionally, Screen Daily reported that the move is part of a broader unveiling of a new leadership structure at the studio, while GuruFocus noted that Disney, the parent company, officially announced Garson's appointment as the new President of Pixar Animation. The transition is significant because it involves two key figures within the organization. Jim Morris has long been associated with the studio, and his move to a President Emeritus position suggests a shift in the day-to-day operational control of the studio. Jonathan Garson now assumes the primary leadership responsibilities. This change in the executive tier comes as the studio clarifies its governance and management approach under the oversight of Disney, as indicated by the announcement credited to the parent organization.

Future developments will center on the implementation of the new leadership structure mentioned by Screen Daily. Observers will be monitoring how the division of responsibilities between the active President, Jonathan Garson, and the President Emeritus, Jim Morris, functions in practice. The coverage does not yet specify the exact date for the official handover or the specific strategic goals associated with this restructuring. Attention will remain on how this new administrative arrangement influences Pixar's output and organizational direction moving forward.
